All service and repairs at Alsal are carried out on the premises by ourselves, with many years experience in the horological trade. We carry out major service work on many watch brands; quartz, mechanical or automatic.

Why should I have my watch serviced?

​

All watches need servicing to maintain and ensure that the watch doesn’t wear out before its time. Think of a car, a car is serviced at least once a year but in that time how many hours or days in total is the car actually used? A watch is relied upon to work 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.

 

What is involved in a service?

During a service the watch is completely stripped, cleaned through a number of solutions to clean away any old oil, dust and anything else that may get into the watch from day to day use. Once clean each part is checked for wear, re-assembled and lubricated. A new battery is also fitted on quartz watches and the timing is checked on mechanical watches. Each major service is guaranteed for a period of 12 months.*

Watch batteries and straps

Watch batteries are fitted on the premises - nothing is ever sent away. A large selection of watch straps are available to fit almost every watch. Watch strap sizes vary from as narrow as 6mm up to 30mm wide. We hold a large stock in a wide range of colours, styles, patterns, materials and thicknesses. A large majority of straps can be fitted while you wait.

 

A selection of metal bracelets are also available in a range of sizes, in stainless steel, two tone, gold plated with clip fastening or expanding.
